Is the community really so toxic in 2023 that people feel a need to try to run these kids off the game? It was a damn park game. I was on the complete opposite vibe, hearing those kids reminded me of my middle school years playing 2K after school at a friend's house. It just made me think of how sad and lonely the trash talkers I got as teammates must be when they can't just keep it moving and not say anything or even just say "gg" to people they know from hearing their voices are probably half their age. Yes they couldn't hit a shot to save their lives and their dribble moves got them no separation and they couldn't guard me, but they still just kept on enjoying their time and having a blast. They're hyping each other up, being vocal about switching, laughing when somebody has a funny mess up. I just witnessed 3 kids younger than 2K has existed as a game, who are just trying to have a good time. My team smacked them and the random teammates I had were talking shit in the chat after the game ended, which just got me angry on the kids' behalf. Other team all had their mics on and were a group of probably 10-13 year old kids. Just got done playing for the night and my final game was in no squad 3v3 in park. I know we all love to bash on the randoms that "sell" the game and shoot bad shots or lack basketball IQ, but don't forget they might literally be 10 years old.
